For companies interested in expanding internationally, DDS continues to be an important data source. Updated socio-economic and POI data is now available for Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Columbia, India and Japan.
"Our extensive, worldwide network of data partners are constantly updating and expanding their datasets" states Andreas Lehr, Head of Sales at DDS. The socio-economic attributes like population, daytime population, sex, age ranges and purchasing power (disposable income) are available with various administrative boundary levels, as well as a 900mx900m data grid.
According to Andreas, "the PoI data covers numerous categories like restaurants, schools, universities, businesses and is useful for localizing areas of economic activity."
For planning site locations for fast food restaurants and petrol stations, traffic count data is very useful. Ernest McCutcheon, Managing Director at DDS announced that DDS "is now able to offer such data for Mexico and Columbia linked to street segments. This is an extremely useful extension of our data portfolio".
